Masonville Cove Links WildSTEM Internship
Not Your Ordinary Internship
The Masonville Cove Links (MCL) WildSTEM Internship is a six-week, paid summer experience where college students explore the many ways their majors, career goals, skills, and interests can contribute to conservation.
Co-created by the Masonville Cove Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership and The Links, Incorporated, the MCL WildSTEM Internship combines hands-on conservation, community engagement, career exploration, leadership development, and professional networking. Students work alongside professionals from government, nonprofit, environmental, and community organizations while discovering conservation careers that extend far beyond traditional biological sciences.
All majors are welcome. Conservation needs scientists—but it also needs engineers, educators, communicators, technology professionals, policy experts, community leaders, and people bringing new perspectives to the field. We are looking for candidates ready to grow into navigating new environments with privileged access to leaders in the field, to build a launch pad for leadership opportunities throughout their career.

Legacy Projects
Interns complete focused projects that leave a lasting contribution to Masonville Cove by using their specific discipline. For example, the 2024 cohort designed a nature play area for the campus and the 2025 cohort coordinated and oversaw its purchase and installation.
