About the Event
Through an interactive treasure map, participants learn about the unique habitat and organisms that make the Chesapeake Bay such an important ecosystem. Participants then get up close and personal with one of the most important critters of the Chesapeake Bay- the Eastern Oysters! Using microscopes, participants identify Plankton and understand the importance of Plankton as the basis for the Chesapeake Bay food web and living indicators of water quality.
