First Thursday - Majestic Mammals

Join us on December 3 for a socially distanced nighttime walk through the Masonville campus guided by a ranger from US Fish and Wildlife services to look for all the creatures that explore the campus after the sun goes down. Flashlights will be provided.

First Thursday - Owl Prowl

Come learn about one of the most popular nighttime creatures, the owl! Dissect an owl pellet to unravel the mystery of what an owl does at night and what makes them the silent hunter. During extended hours, you will have the rare chance to stay late and see firsthand the fascinating world of owls.

Maryland STEM Festival - Building Islands and Supporting Terrapins

Do you love turtles and building structures? Then join us and become an engineer for the day! You'll learn how to build your own Chesapeake Bay island and meet one of the Diamondback Terrapins that live on islands just like the one you made.

Walk Maryland Day at Masonville Cove

Join us for Walk Maryland Day, a celebration of our state’s official exercise and a call to action to promote walking for physical activity and improved health.

We will have 1-hour guided walks starting at 12 PM and 5 PM.

Doors Open Baltimore: Masonville Cove

This program is hosted on Zoom and Facebook Live. Join the Masonville Cove partners in dialogue with historians and Greater Baybrook community members as they reflect on this incredible piece of land reclaimed for the benefit of local wildlife and the surrounding community.

BioBlitz with the National Aquarium

Participate in our seventh annual BioBlitz by working with wildlife experts and community volunteers to find, identify and record plant and animal species that live at Masonville Cove.

Kayaking at Masonville Cove

Join us for a free kayaking tour of Masonville Cove. Beginner-level kayaking instruction and all necessary equipment will be provided. Please note the weight limit and COVID-19 precautions before registration.
