Guided Nature Walk Join us for this walk around the trails of Masonville Cove! We will begin with a short introduction to the campus and the animals who live here. There is always something interesting to see when walking along in nature!

Guided Mindful Nature Walk at Masonville Cove Led by guides from Nature Worx, we will explore the beautiful grounds at Masonville Cove, slowly walking and pausing frequently, using all of our senses to drop out of doing mode and into being mode. Learn simple, but profound ways to make space for yourself to breathe and savor the natural world.

Nature for Kids: Great Groundhogs Join us for an in-person craft inspired by nature! We will share stories and learn about the groundhogs at Masonville while making adorable groundhog puppets. Enjoy the great outdoors on a walk with us afterwards and take a moment to appreciate these animals! Registration required.

Water Quality Science / Journey North Join us in becoming a water scientist for a day! Learn what it takes to be a water scientist and help with citizen science climate change migration impact data collection at Masonville Cove! Registration required.

Summer Science and Nature Program: Nature's Superheroes Explore, Discover, and Engage at the Nation's First Urban Wildlife refuge Partnership! Participants will engage in hands on learning on our 52 acre waterfront campus, discover in our science labs, and explore the natural world around them.

International Coastal Cleanup at Masonville Cove Join the Aquarium to remove harmful marine debris from the shoreline at the Masonville Cove campus. Learn about sources and effects of marine debris, and what you can do to help! Debris data collected at this event will contribute to the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup.

Rescheduled: Evening Bat Walk at Garrett Park Join Masonville Cove and Baltimore Green Space in celebrating National Bat Week! Did you know over 300 species of fruit depend on bats for pollination? Come hang with the bats to learn more about our nocturnal friends! Gear will be provided and registration is required for this free event.

Nature for Kids: Winter Waterfowl Binoculars Join us for an in-person craft inspired by nature! We will share stories and learn about the winter birds and waterfowl at Masonville while making our own creative binoculars. Enjoy the great outdoors on a walk with us afterwards and take a moment to appreciate these animals! Registration required.

July Kayaking at Masonville Cove Join us for a free kayaking tour of Masonville Cove. Beginner-level kayaking instruction and all necessary equipment will be provided. Please note the weight limit and COVID-19 precautions before registration.

BioBlitz with the National Aquarium 2021 Participate in our annual BioBlitz by working with wildlife experts and community volunteers to find, identify, and record plant and animal species that live at Masonville Cove.
